Ragi Sweet Puttu
Just another variation to the regular Puttu.
Ingredients (makes about 1 serving):
1/2 cup of Ragi
2 - 3 Tbsp of Water
1/4 tsp of Salt (or as per taste),
3 Tbsp of grated Coconut,
a pinch of Cardamom powder
1 tsp of Sugar.
Hi Sherin, You got a wonderful blog out there. Nice! Thanks for your comments too. No secrets Sherin... I use the dry coconut as is..no rehydrating etc. Just sprinkle the coconut and steam the puttu..What do you do differently?
I like the perfect finish of your dessicated coconut. Please share the secret dear. Mine goes all soggy after I rehydrate them.

Do you grate the coconut yourself or use store bought grated powder? probably that makes the difference.. I use the dry ones from store..
