add onions(3/4) + ripe tomatoes (1.5) + chilli powder(1.5 sp) + coriander powder (0.5 sp) + turmeric + salt + fried mushrooms . when oil separates and gravy starts to thicken (like abt 4 mins) add curry leaves + 2 sp coconut paste . Leave for another 6 mins

Thanks for letting me know, Kitchen Flavours & Rekha..
ReplyDeleteI shall take a look. Can't believe how some people go to such lows!
Hi, It turned out good. Can mushrooms be substituted with any other veggies(No cauliflower plz :D )I understand the gravy is mainly formed from water out of mushrooms but I don't mind having a dry gravy by using other veggies.
ReplyDeletehmm.. How about brinjal or potato? They are good candidates for masala curry like these.
ReplyDeleteThankuu!! Is the cooking method(frying separately in a pan) and time for brinjal or potato. Excuse the amateur questions ;)
ReplyDelete:) LOL, I tell you, get married.
ReplyDeleteJokes aside,
ReplyDeleteBrinjal -> you need not fry separately. After you saute onions, just add the brinjals, saute well and follow the next steps as in recipe.
Potato -> you got to boil the potatoes first. Then, like you did for brinjal, add the boiled and mashed (coarsely mashed.. so you get bite size pieces) potatoes after you saute onions. Hope I am clear.. if not, I tell you, get married. :) oh make sure she knows cooking AND is willing to cook for you. ;)
LOL Getting married is not gonna for years ;) Anyways I think I got ur answer. I will try that and keeping my fingers crossed to cook it right :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for ur help :)
